Part One

Tell me a little about yourself? I am Jan Blittersdorf and I am the President and CEO of NRG systems and we are a manufacturer of wind measurement equipment for the wind energy industry. So what we make is the equipment to find the wind as a fuel resource. And then people will use the data we find with our equipment to have a meteorologist or consultant to analyze and then present to a banker or investor to say we found the spot that has a good resources to put in wind turbines to generate electricity and you will get a return on your investment because there is enough fuel, enough wind fuel there.

Our company has about 100 employees, right now. We are rapidly growing, over the 26 years we have grown about 20-30% per year and we continue to do that as the industry sees growth itself, which is a challenge. It is easier to grow when you are small than it is to sustain that when you get larger.

What is your management style? I have been CEO for about four years and the management style that I use a collaborative one it is very much based in people and wanting to have people work well together, teams and groups, communicate well with each other, know each other, trust each other make good decisions. It is very much about high expectations with a lot of teambuilding and collaboration mixed in.

How did you hear about Vtrim? I found Vtrim through another person. I didn’t go out searching for a weight loss program. Never done a weight loss program, but a colleague and friend of ours here at the company found Vtrim. And went through the program and was very successful losing weight. They talked to my husband about it and my husband got very charged up about the possibility. And said, “I think I am going to do that.” And I listened to him and said “sure you will, sure you will do it. And sure enough he was serious and at the end of the summer he got online and signed up for the September class. He said “I signed up I am going to do it, how about you?” And it took me about 3-4 days to actually go onto the Vtrim web site and push the button and sign up. I was really afraid of making that commitment and signing up for the Vtrim class, but I did, I hit the button and we went together and did the program as a couple.
